Good Life Competitions was an early-stage brand hosting online luxury prize competitions — dream holidays, high-end gadgets, premium experiences. The model works on volume: you need a large email list of people who are actively interested in competitions and luxury prizes, and you need to convert them quickly before interest drops.

They had no list, no acquisition system, and no proven approach to referral mechanics. We built it all from scratch — and generated 2,400 leads in the first month, sold out the first competition, and turned 25% of the email list into paying competition participants generating £140,000 in revenue.

Built paid social campaigns specifically targeting users with demonstrated interest in luxury items, competitions, and premium experiences. Audiences calibrated around luxury lifestyle affinities, lookalikes from their early buyers, and interest-based segments. Compelling visuals of the actual prizes — not abstract messaging — drove the conversion rates.

Referral Programme Architecture

Designed and launched a referral programme offering bonus entries and discounts to existing customers who referred friends and family. In the competition space, word-of-mouth has outsized impact — the referral loop accelerated list growth exponentially without additional ad spend.

Automated Email Nurture Sequences

Built automated email campaigns that engaged new subscribers immediately — competition announcements, winner reveals, countdowns to closing dates, and urgency-driven reminders. Personalised by entry behaviour and engagement level. This is how 25% of the list became paying participants rather than passive subscribers.
